Included in the comprehensive eye exam, is a check for cataracts, glaucoma, and many other eye diseases. We screen diabetics for any evidence of diabetic affects on the eyes. We work closely with Retinal Specialist in both Huntsville and Birmingham. Your vision and the health of your eyes is our primary concern.

PRETEST AREA

In our routine eye exams, we check not only your vision, but also your total eye health. We use the latest technology to provide the best service and care possible.

We start your exam by taking a detailed case history and beginning measurements in our pretest area.

We have a digital camera that is used to photograph any diseases found as well as document a normal healthy eye. The camera assist us in the early detection of many disorders, including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachments, and other vision threatening conditions. Each image is stored in the computer for comparision with images from future exams. This allows our doctors to observe the smallest change from year to year.

We use a visual field analyzer to detect diseases such as glaucoma, strokes, multiple sclerosis, brain tumors, and many other diseases.
